Are you hoarding old files?
yes
Yes, and I don't have backups for anything. Hoping my drives fail one day and that gives me the motivation to go out and do something with my life.
Yes.
I have saved light novel translations from random translators. Most of these series aren't completely translated, but I've kept them since I thought they were going to be fully translated.
I can't bear to delete them.

Yes.
Yeah I need to go through my downloads folder and delete some anime and old shit.
Yeah, I delete old shit all the time. Stuff that I thought I'd cherish forever.
I've deleted: thousands of bookmarks; thousands and thousands of random pics from the boorus and 4chan; hard-to-find books and other media.
It's always hard to delete at first, but then I realize life is short, and I have to prioritize only what I need and will ever reasonably use.
I don't really miss anything I've deleted, and it's nice only having stuff I will actually use.
Not really. Unless you count vacation photos and shit.
Even though I backup my home folder I don't always use all the files there.
I kinda clean here and there every now and then.

Yes, until I run low on space. Which hasn't happened yet so I have a gazillion file that maybe need to be deleted.
Depends on how hard it was to find
I was, but I recently did a factory wipe of my machine... man I feel so free
Yes. Although, I got drunk last year and repartitioned a drive 'cause I was sure it didn't have anything important on it. Lost all the guitar tabs for stuff I wrote as a teenager. It's mostly shit, but had sentimental value. Couldn't recover it either :(

n..n...n..no
my biggest problem is that it's just in layers and layers of unsorted "clean up" folders so I'll never have a nice orderly system because cleaning it up is too big of a task

Why wouldn't you just keep them in an encrypted volume?

I have a small hoard of proprietary UNIX/Linux and "classic" Mac OS software among other things
