So is OpenSUSE Leap stable yet? Last time I tried it was unpolished, buggy and crashy. Far from the "enterprise-grade" SLES it was derived from.
And is Tumbleweed's stability a meme? Is it actually usable for someone who just wants shit to work?

I have found Leap to be pretty darn stable. Tumbleweed is not, and is a complete joke.

I don't know what to believe anymore.
When I asked about Leap being unstable for me on the OpenSUSE IRC channels, everyone just recommended I use Tumbleweed.
But now Tumbleweed is apparently unstable.
What version of OpenSUSE is someone supposed to use just to get some shit done?

openSUSE Leap is just awesome!GNOME is ultra stable but KDE still needs fixes. But it's not an openSUSE problem because it all starts from the KDE project ;)
Leap was okay-ish for me but I haven't tried it since it was released, so I can't really say now. It was about as stable as any KDE affair, let's leave it at that. Tumbleweed is basically unusable on every machine I try it on; it's the only distro that's ever thrown me a kernel panic. Was very disappointed. YaST is pretty cool and zypper shits all over apt, but taken as a whole the distro is a fucking mess.
Also since that cunt photoshopped the SUSE logo into a pepe I can't unsee it and now it's ruined forever.

I might buy that if KDE wasn't the default desktop environment when you download Leap. There's no excuse for the default DE being unstable.
And even then, switching to Gnome gave me problems. Logging out wouldn't work some of the time, and I'd get a black screen occasionally and would have to restart X. This was on Leap.
I only managed to fix it because I'm a technical user and just guessed that editing /etc/sysconfig/* and and switching the Login Manager to a Gnome one would fix it.
That kind of shit is not what I want from a non-BS distro.

To sum things up.Leap is oriented towards power-users,(and simple of course) , server admins and developers. It pretty much covers all types of users cause it is super stable(it combines SUSE kernel and openSUSE community packages.
Tumbleweed is oriented towards developers because it has the latest packages. Say if python 3.9 is released , in 2 weeks you will have them but if something doesnt work out it will cause you problems, (and of course they ll fix them but still..)

No, Manjaro is Arch with delayed packages (or Arch stable packages if you use the unstable repo), an installer and some exclusive tools like mhwd-kernel that function like a YaST-lite of sorts.

Is SLES still produced?
I wouldn't call Tumbleweed stable, but it has worked well enough for me. Had two issues so far that I fixed pretty quickly, both related to some updates.
