Not sure what I need/want to upgrade. Some people are telling me the graphics card is my problem, others say the CPU is holding me back.

Specs (pic related):

>Asus P8H77-M PRO/CM6870 Motherboard
>MSI GTX 970 GPU
>Intel Core i5 3450 CPU
>12GB DDR3 RAM
>EVGA 500w PSU

I do use two monitors (going to be same resolution soon). One is a 1920x1080, other is 1600x900.

Mostly play games that are CPU and GPU heavy respectively.
>Fallout 4
>Blade and Soul
>Guild Wars 2
>Warframe
>etc

What is my best option? I was thinking of going for an i5 6500 as it can be overclocked and I figure its good for playing games on one screen and watching a stream on the other. A few friends said they think its the GPU bottlenecking or something, which I can't understand how/why. What do you guys think?

Unless your PC is slow, there's no reason to upgrade unless you enjoy wasting money.

Streams lag when i play CPU intensive games such as Guild wars 2 or blade and soul, and I use photoshop and 3D stuff from time to time.

Getting above 48 frames in games like Fallout 4 and 50 frames in Guild Wars 2 would be great too.

As far as speeds, the only thing that takes time is loadscreens (even those on SSD at times) and boot up. All in all I just want a more enjoyable gaming and stream-watching experience.

Well obviously. I had heard something about Directx12 being a big deal in future games or something, but as far as gentoo or 8, that's cancerous.

So, as far as CPU goes, what kind of change would I see if i did upgrade? Will it be noticeable or negligible.
