Support for the greatest firefox fork ever created has ended. Let it rip in peace.
https://www.debian.org/security/2016/dsa-3600
Suppose I'll be upgrading to firefox-esr, Firefox shitware here we come. I'll be sure to disable you.
>>55012893
Try Palemoon.
Well, guess it;s back to Linx
>>55012915
I have. The lack of extensions is what kills it for me.
>too autistic to install chromium
>would rather support the SJW agenda
Well looks like it's Icecat's time to shine now.
>>55012939
I won't use Chromium because i don't support Google.
Also; If you use Google, You support SJWs.
Not to mention, The GNU system has seen contributions from SJWs, Not using a peice of software that already runs under an SJW OS is autistic. I could care less who the contributers are as long as the software works well.
>>55012951
I'm considering it. IceCat looks pretty good. I'm just paranoid about having to constantly stalk the FTP server for updates.
>>55012939
Its funny seeing Google shills bringing up the SJW maymat
>>55013001
Funny how he mentions chromium when he uploaded that picture using the NSA/Windows filepicker.

How about just doing it once a week just after typingemerge -avuND worldinto your terminal?
>>55013066
Because i don't use gentoo?
I use Debian GNU/Linux with the APT package manager.

>>55013134
Thank you based anon.
since this is the only somewhat relevant firefax thread, i will tell you that i am angry with the changes they've made to the bookmark key
there are no good addons to fix it either
ree
Isn't it just Firefox with a different logo?
>>55013198
It's firefox with the DRM / Bloatware shit removed.
>>55013198
Iceweasel disabled healthreport, removed pocket, and had some other settings geared towards privacy. I noticed that while firefox-esr seems to be vanilla firefox, debian disabled hello by default (or is that also vanilla?).
>>55013213
Why not use SeaMonkey? It's like Firefox without the DRM or memory issues.
>>55013247
Hello is enabled by default in vanilla.
But i was shocked to see pocket because iirc Pocket is proprietary software.
>>55012938
>>55013027
What kind of exotic extensions are you faggots using? All major extensions are supported by Palememe.
I remember having issues installing HTTPS everywhere. There was a similar extension.
The forums also told me to import HTTPS everywhere's database into an older version as a work around.
I also remember having issues out of greasemonkey and stylish.
>>55013326
For big changes like these, it's best to backup your bookmarks and get a clean profile.
>>55013361
I was meaning to quote
>>55013305
>>55013012
hahaha, rekt
>>55012939
you cant rice chromium :^)
>>55013326
Use Encrypted Web, and GM 3.6 has a palememe fork. Stylish works OOTB
>>55013134
you should use an user agent scrambler instead of hardcoding it in your preferences desu
other than that, nice
>>55012919
>>55012951
>>55012992
try compiling uzbl anons. or use midori. Im not saying any of this is better, but it may or may not be enough for your needs
>>55014998
what do you recommend?
