That's for the founder's edition of the card with some stupid markup - Duh. If you bothered to read the conclusion, the editor specifically says the price/perf can't be beat if the cards are anywhere near the RRP of the non-Founder's edition.
>>
>>55010349

Lying how exactly?

There seems to be this retard disease going about where people look at nano & micro second scale graphs and conclude that because the card draws 300W for 1ms it somehow needs 300W to work. Y'know, like as if capacitors didn't exist.

Why not? There's a few non-Founder's 1080's that are pretty much coming out at RRP. So why not 1070s?

Feel free to be in denial if it soothes your butthert, but even in the worst case if card manufacturers have to make an old-style reference cooler (as in, the crappy plastic ones) to make a card cheap enough to sell at the RRP, it'll still be an insanely good deal, enough so to beat everyone else in price/perf (at least until Polaris turns up, for that we'll have to wait and see).

You don't think that store wouldn't make up some BS price so that they can get the page up and ready to go for when they do get a real price? ... Nvidia fags are the most retarded people ever. Is nvidia a nigger brand?
>>
>>55011603
Nvidia always lies. Their GPUs go over rated tdp even averaged over a entire test run of some games. This has been happening since the 400 series.
>>
why people don't wait that both AMD and Nvidia release all their GPUs ? AMD is releasing a new architecture and the performances of a 480X are quite impressive for a $200 GPU. Their 490 will probably be very interesting and might offer a better price per performances compared to the 1070 and maybe the 1080, and it will be released in october.
I'm pretty sure most people buying 1070 and 1080 can run their programs with a decent quality. Waiting 2 month wouldn't be that long.
>>
>>55013270
You are talking to nvidia customers man they barely have an iq over 80 they are literally retarded
>>
>>55013270
Because for someone with a decent job $700 is nothing, people who are willing to pay will pay, people who aren't willing to pay will wait.

Don't like it?

Well you ought to learn to deal with it and stop giving a crap what people do with their money specially if that money is used for a hobby they enjoy.

There are people who are also going to buy the 480 on day one, just go look at the AMD subreddit, literally a thread about "Who is going to buy the 480 on day one" right now over there.

There are also the AMD fanboy who bought the Fury X even after they found out it was weaker than the GTX980Ti and had terrible OC headroom.

>>
>>55013270
>Their 490 will probably be very interesting and might offer a better price per performances
It's not that it "might" be more cost effective, it WILL be as is always the case with AMD, but disregarding price and looking solely at performance the NV card always has superior benchmarks.
>>
>>55013475
It actually happens on nvidia cards too, but the drivers detect it and refresh the cursor on the same frame. You can spot when it happens if you are paying enough attention.
>>
>>55013461
I have had it happen to me a few times, but I had no idea that was related to the AMD drivers.
Then again, with how much every other update broke my system, the cursor is the least of my problems.

Do you even ASync bro?

No seriously im going to buy the 1070 (found a presale of the eVGA for 415 usd here on mexico) unless AMD shows a 490 before the end of the month at a same price/perfomance.

Nvidia does that kind of shit all the time i have my ol' 770 running and my brother 6870 is catching up.

A friend o mine who is a video producer had been running with 970's and he returned to 580's because they were faster in Premier and other cuda software..and they can't use the new nvenc codecs, the 970's have a workaround too but still runing nvec are not as fast as the 580's.

And lately Nvidia foums are being hard censored because of users with the 700 series having a lot of troubles me included.
