How possible is it to build a rear projection screen yourself? I remember some of the late generation models being pretty flat too.
Not that i need to, just curious about the feasibility.

It depends. More late game flat screens use DLP. A whole chip to process the tv to achieve 1080p using a bulb. But there are many different type of rear-projection tvs. and they date back to the 70's. You could be able to make one yourself but it will be vastly limited.
