None, there are free alternatives for just about everything out there, I use Libreoffice, that's pretty great, I use Debian and that just works fine and I install the latest packages of everything instead of using apt for packages because old packages, plus im poor as of now so im not getting paid software, plus all I use my computer for is moderate browsing, music, videos, torrenting, word processing, editing text and video editing (along with sound production with audacity and video with OBS) feels pretty good not getting cucked. But I am using a paid FLOSS app from Google Play called Plumble which is a Mumble client that is really good.

I'm still kind of butthurt because I use a Seagate drive on my computer and Paragon had a free download of their software that worked only for Seagate drives. Needless to say, it didn't work.

if "fluent in pythons" includes proficiency in numpy then no not really unless your job requires it

there's some specific engineering stuff like simulink though that's more of a layer on top of matlab though and there's the symbolic toolbox but python has sympy so it's probably alright

There are plenty of useful MATLAB modules (the so-called toolboxes) that don't have a reliable Python equivalent, however you can most of the time learn them on the spot.

Been using it for years now. It is the last thing from malware. It uninstalls the program as Windows would do but then scans registry and all folders for anything with the program name and let you delete.

Windows 7 and 10, OS X.
Didn't pay for them.

I download all of the software I need from private trackers for both of them. I don't think I've ever paid for a piece of software actually. I always pirate shit.

I create software (day job is as a .net developer) and I sell apps too for phones as a side business.

I expect people to pay for my apps and I understand how much time and effort goes into them but I don't give a shit and I'll never pay for code :)
