Thinking of using linux cause don't play gaymes all the time. How is arch? Is there a gui installer?

If it is your first time using Linux, then you're better off settling for Ubuntu or Linux Mint.

Should I use vm though?
>>

Yes, in case you fuck it up, so you don't have to re-install your main OS.

If you know how to set up networking with a VM, sure. IF, AND ONLY IF, you can read directions AND UNDERSTAND what you are doing, dual booting can be far easier. If you have a BIOS system, good news, this is cake. If you have UEFI, your reward for the headache is you can install rEFInd, which is a bitching boot selector/loader.
Also, Arch is for elitist cancer. Architect aside, there is no installer- you just bootstrap it (dump a premade core onto a partition, add entries to a boot partition, create a user, etc.)

Yeah I have no clue what I am doing I will just use a vm xfce looks pretty neat though

Get architect and nobody will know you're too dumb to install Arch

You can try to install arch in a VM anyway, you won't brick anything

why the fuck so many linux noobs want to go for arch

it's a shit distro meant for NEETS

Prefer actually usable ones, like Ubuntu GNOME or openSUSE.

If your pc is shit get Ubuntu MATE or Xubuntu

Ask yourself then leave.

Manjaro is a more newbie friendly fork of Arch, maybe give that a try before going full frontal Arch?
