I have a rooted android phone with the official adblock plus app on super user permissions, but on youtube, instagram, twitter, and the vast majority of mobile sites there is still rampant invasive advertising that ruins the experience.
Is there any actual good one?
adaway works well for me
I use ublock on Firefox
And xposed modules for youtube
YouTube both have ad removal, and background playback. Features you usually pay for with Google Red if you aren't into that

I use AdAway. It's not on google play, but they've got a website with the apk available for download.
AdAway + MinMinGuard = never see an ad again.
