Tried using a RAM disk to run a MC server and my PC blue screened. Ram disks are a meme.

Use a small one in my laptop that only has an SSD. I put the firefox profile folder and temp files on there to stop it from raping my SSD.

Isn't there a problem with having RAM as HDD?
Something unimportant like... Loss of entire data when power goes off?
>>
>>54979380
I used to run my IDE and Android emulator from a ramdisk. Holy shit was is fast.
But it was all fun in games until I had a power cut. RIP ramdisk.

almost all RAMDisk software takes an image of the RAMDisk every set amount of time, I have mine set for 30 minutes but it can be set for whatever will work best for you.

You can also manually backup the RAMDisk right before shutting down if you know you have to shutdown.

My RAMDisk software automatically restores the RAMDisk from the most recent image taken upon startup so it's instantly ready to go when I log in.

You misspelled $7000.

On Linux the directory with a "RamDisk¿?¿" is located in /dev/shm.

This.

I use TMPFS "/dev/shm" to compile. Just works!
