If it's stupid and it works it ain't stupid.
Looks like hdmi to DVI to shirty dell port
>>
>>54960319
What is that?
Displayport to DVI to HDMI?
Why not just skip the DVI?
>>
>>54960426
It can still be stupid even if it works!

It makes it less stupid sure. But if it's wildly inefficient and he had access to an easier method then yeah.....kinda stupid.

You know what else is stupid?

I just bought some shitty European razor that uses a shitty European power supply. It came with a Euro-To-USA adapter, but when I tried to remove the adapter, the casing came off.

I hate it when companies use shitty and cheap parts.

I've tried to put the casing back on several times now, so I could try to squeeze and remove. But I can't get enough traction.

This thing is now stuck in my wall. I can't remove it.

Guess I need to just flip the breaker, which will also turn off all my servers.
Then I can remove it by hand.
Still.

Shitty cheap electronics.

Looks like a job for the venerable piece of wood.

Though you only have 110V, just pull it out with your hand already.
>>
>>54960807
See that plug directly above. Notice how it is black.

I've gotten shocked by 110-volts before. Its nastier than you think, and enough to blow your heart out if your heart isn't in good shape.

>my heart isn't in good shape

I have no desire to ever be shocked by 110-volts again.
>>
>>54960710
If it was a GB or AUS plug you could just flip the switch on the outlet but /g/ seems to hate them
>>
>>54960840
A LOT less can kill you if its across the heart.

Anyone thats survived 100 volts is literally playing Russian roulette.

Thats easily 1500-2000 watts based on 15-20 amps provided as is usual.

g is stupid. british plugs are the best.

He needs to be stood in a bowl of water too. And wrap some copper around your bollocks just in case
>>
>>54960933
As long as it isnt metal he should be fine. Plastic is non conductive
>>
>>54960710
>relying on adapters
>not replacing the plug

Man, you kinda wanted that to happen come on... it takes 5 minutes to replace a plug, 10 if you're totally retarded
>>
>>54960710
Who the fuck thought it was a good idea for America to use electrical outlets with no on/off switches?
>>
>>54961092
Less expensive I guess.

Though honestly, I'm an American, and I agree that having switches on every outlet sounds like a good idea. That way you don't have to constantly throw breakers which cut off the power to the whole room.
>>
why does electrical safety matter so little t everyone except britfags
>>
>>54961301
EU regulations
>>
>>54960710
Wait, you don't have a UPS? Also you could easily pull it out with a pair of scissors with plastic handgrip.
>>
>>54960710
Just use rubber gloves or something lol

Someone does not want to live?

fyi, the american conector is the shitty, unsafe, crap one, not counting that the euro one is also compatible with most of Asia.

I got shocks as a kid for shits and giggles.
Germany here
I plugged in lamps, unscrewed the lightbulb and put my fingers in to get the shock.
I disassembled a running TV to see how it works (not talking about a flat screen).

Got shocked when I helped my father who was trying to replace a 230V 16A wall plug for my parents washing machine.
Asked him several times if he put out the breaker/fuse.
That was truly a shock.

Apparently my mother got hit by lightning while pregnant with me when she was on the balcon.

Her mother, my grandmother worked in a nuclear powerplant.

Some say those things explain, why I am so strange and why sometimtes machines stop working when I am near them.
>>
>>54960710
Use a voltage detecting screwdriver. You won't get shocked when you use that.
>>
>>54960758
Not stupid. Very unsafe.
>>
>>54960807
Or just about any insulated tool, some of which everyone has lying around somewhere.
>>
>>54960710
>Guess I need to just flip the breaker, which will also turn off all my servers.

can't be that important if they aren't on UPS.
>>
>>54960758
Wouldn't that fuck up your electronics because of the voltage difference?
>>
>>54963015
Switch mode power supplies simply don't give a fuck. That's why most power supplies are rated at 110V-250V input.
>>
>>54962989
Clearly he doesn't want to because muh uptime
>>
>>54960710
>Guess I need to just flip the breaker, which will also turn off all my servers.
yeah, mission critical stuff I bet. It will make the news how those important servers from some random dirty ass cuck went down because he is a faggot and can't disconnect a fucking plug from the wall.
Shitty entitled neckbeards and their super important uptime.
fuck off.
>>

Plastic fucking utensil?
>>
>>54960710
You can use a potato, cut in half, to remove this.
>>
>>54960630
im guessing OP didnt want to spend extra money or already had these parts lying around.
>>
>>54966339
why it should? the two "thing" aren't touching
>>
>>54966627
Then why doesn't he just pick it from neutral side? He could do that just by using his hand. Every household has a multimeter to check which is "live" side
