I have a receiver that supports 2160@60 4:4:4 passthrough, a television and HTPC that supports the same, and cabling rated to 22.5Gbps. Bizarrely, I cannot get the HTPC (Fedora, Gnome 3, kernel-supplied Intel drivers) to recognize the display supports 4k at all, except on the login screen, when plugged in through the receiver. Works perfectly fine when plugged into the television directly.

Is there some service, post-authentication, that might be causing this issue?

I built my computer a few years ago with a really shitty budget and am looking to upgrade now. It currently has an AMD FX-6300 as the cpu, and I was wandering if it would probably be better to buy a new motherboard and get an intel processor and spend less on a gpu, or just get one of the newer am3+ cpus. How to run 1990s 16 bits program in 64bits windows?

Also, how can I recall a question that I want to asj but being forgotten?

i. Is there any material that can quickly cooldown a phone externally and is portable?

ii. I am currently subscribing to two different mobile operators' unlimited UMTS plan. Is there anyway to aggregate their bandwidth on my amdroid dualsim phone?

python (3) stupid question:

I have a set with the form
{"A;B", "A", "C"}

I want to split all the strings within the set into elements and keep it as a set. Something equivalent to:

new_set = set()
for element in set:
split_el = element.split(';')
for el in split_el:
new_set.update(el)

My intended output is {"A","B","C"}

Is there any way to do this in a functional form, or avoiding either loops or list/set comprehension?
Even list/set comprehension would be OK if there's no other way.

Thanks

NEET fuck:

Younger brother got a laptop. Now we go over our bandwidth cap. Mom blames me and is replacing our wireless router with one she claims lets her monitor "everything"

Now, ignoring that it'll prove my innocence in the excessive bandwidth use department: What kind of monitoring are we talking here? What're the odds it'll it reveal specific URLs accessed vs just bulk data like how much is used by each MAC address?

While I'm going to do my damnedest to get the administrator password, if that's not possible I need to know whether it's time to make a determined push to leave this house. There's no way in hell I'm giving anyone I know access to my full internet history [even broadly aggregated data like "your son downloaded X gb of images..." is risky.], but is that a realistic risk?

Is it arduino or genuino?

Back in early 2010 when I used an arduino for a project it was only arduino

Then there was some sort of epic reddit battle among the dudes and since I had no interest in their neo Stallman tier naming battle I lost interest. I thought the two project were coexisting but making things difficult for people wanting to compile their code on the boards

Then this afternoon I looked again and it seems it's Arduino in USA and Genuino for the rest of the planet...

>Thanks. I'd heard of it but for whatever reason I thought it was solely for syncing with remote servers, not local drives.
i always assumed it was complicated to use and always had to be run in a server+client configuration
but no, it's actually pretty simple, and can be used in as simple a case as needing a "smarter" cp to update a backup copy of something

it can be used just between two local drives, when using it to sync with a remote machine, it can connect to an instance of rsync on the remote machine, for additional efficiency, but even that is optional (can also function over for example, plain sftp)

So install a custom ROM because aside from just disabling the Google apps or rooting there is no way to actually remove any of it. Disabling it doesn't remove it, just hides it from the Apps drawer and executing but it's still there on the system partition taking up space.

Rooting won't void the waranty since you can unroot/go back to pure stock anytime you want. Unlocking the bootloader voids the warranty because you have to request the unlock code from Motorola and they mark the device warranty as void if you even request it - doesn't matter if you never actually use the code to unlock the bootloader.

Just making the request for the unlock code voids the warranty.

What is the fastest way to learn programming? What is the best program (out of the useful ones) language for beginner to learn?

So, bitbucket apparently has unlimited private repositories. Would it be a good idea to use bitbucket to host my personal repo with todo lists made in org-mode? This might be a cool thing, because orgzly is supposed to have an option to sync with git.
>>
>>54959871
Your phones screen only has a resolution of 960x540, the Youtube app will only let you play videos at the closest resolution to what your phone can display which is 480p
>>
>>54959879
C is the best for beginners. Not because it is easy, but because it is simple, and lets you understand the basics of programming before taking on advanced tools.

The best way to learn programming is to program. Find a course syllabus that has you doing excersizes that you enjoy, and don't be afraid to pursue whatever project or quirk that interests you.

How do I get 32bit binaries using OpenGL to work under 64bit Ubuntu with the proprietary Nvidia driver? It "works" with Nouvea, but that's batshit slow.

Everything 32 bits returns this, even glxgears:
libGL error: No matching fbConfigs or visuals found
libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast
X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 154 (GLX)
Minor opcode of failed request: 3 (X_GLXCreateContext)
Value in failed request: 0x0
Serial number of failed request: 35
Current serial number in output stream: 37

All 64 binaries I throw at it works fine. I've installed i386-versions of all gl-related packages. (As I said, it works OK with Nouvea.)

Hello
I have 3 wifi channels: 2.4, EXT, 5
2.4 and EXT have slow speeds and aren't stable.

channel 5 gives me the best speed but ALWAYS disconnects after a while. I try to reconnect and it says i can't connect and asks for a password, I put the right password and it still won't connect. I try to fix it by going into the gateway > wifi settings and resetting the channel's settings and it usually works, but the same thing happens. I tried going into the channels edit settings and playing around w/ the channel options, still the problem persists.

mind you I use my neighbors internet and only have access to the gateway. (isp only allows 1 router in 1 house and our house is divided, so yeah) I hope this can be fixed.

Many Maxwell cards are designed not to spin the fan unless they actually need to (i.e. they're silent at idle). I'm not sure whether that's supposed to be the case with your particular card.
