Updated Windows 10. All going fine and dandy till I reboot my laptop for the first time. Now stuck in 'automatic repair' loop. Has anyone ever experienced this?
>>
not personally but I've heard this is a common problem

try google

Mac OSX doesn't have this problem.

Extremely common, happened a lot when windows 8/8.1 came out as well. Google for a million and one fixes out there. If there is no data you give a shit about just wipe and clean install it. If there is data you care about why the fuck don't you have it backed up anon?
>>
Looks like the update broke the flux capacitor in your motherboard somehow.
Try googling for a fix, it will cost you 2 bucks at most and you can easily do it yourself.

Oh, I have tried. I have tried to the point I am ready to scream. The only solution I have not tired yet is the command prompt and manually going through the drives that way. I'm not savvy enough to feel comfortable doing that myself. I've scheduled an appointment for tomorrow at a Windows help desk, but don't know if they'll charge me for it.

I have nothing important on the laptop, seeing as it is fairly new. If I wipe the laptop will it still have the hardware that came with it originally?

Do you mean software? Then no you will have to download it all again unless they gave you a special recovery USB when you bought it.

I imagine this is probably what the tech support will do if I bring my laptop to them. I should have gone with a Mac. :( I liked the ASUS at the time though.
