Doesn't proton mail have no IMAP support?

I read that it doesn't work well with email desktop clients.

I just use OpenMailbox

Do you save your password to make logging into your email client faster and more convenient? I notice ProtonMail requires two passwords to be entered, and I don't think I'd be able to remember them.

it doesn't work at all with them. If you're offline you can't access your email. Tbh, easy bulk offline storing or support for real email clients should be their top priority.

for all the bad things they do. they do protect most peoples identity. they do not outright give out personal information but rather a compilation of interests and activities of a particular person without straight out identifying that person.
id also trust them the most with security.

Yes seriously. They can read my mail all they want.

If it actually ever has a real consequence, then I might start to think about alternatives (or just never using the internet again). So far I have used gmail for everything since 2004, and am not in jail yet.

company mail for work
im not a terrorist or pedo so i dont have to use protonmail etc
>>
>>54954667

How do you feel about they reading yours?

What, you thought you were secure with S/MIME or PGP?

Think again, they have quantum computers that can factorise your keys in seconds.

McEliece encryption is the only truly safe alternative, but keys are huge so nobody uses it, so why even bother?

Google

Protonmail sounded like a honeypot anyway, especially with their web client. If it's web-only, how can you be sure that your mail is encrypted on the client side? You inspect the page, one day it works fine, next day the server accidentally delivers you a slightly different page that looks exactly the same but does not actually encrypt your mail, and you won't even notice that. Or if the page is complex enough you can even do it live via ajax.

Tutanota for bullshit website accounts that I never check.
Also have protonmail i have not used. It looks nice, but webmail/app only makes it less appealing than opmbx.

email is a fundamentally insecure protocol, it can't be secured and any provider that claims to have done so is scamming you

Just assume all your email is being read and never discuss anything confidential
