I currently have Windows 8.1. i think 8.1 is really okay but it has some minor bugs here and there for me (for example the desktop icons are being scattered around a bit when i restart the pc, not a major bug but it's there)
Should i change to windows 10 since i can get it for free? I don't want data that is sent into microsoft to slow the performance of my pc and I don't want cortana to be honest but you probably can disable her

fun fact: windows 10 is 10 times as buggy

Just get whatever you feel comfy using.
Dont ask /g/ if you should use windows/arch/gentoo/ubuntu/osx. it will end up in a debate about which is the meme-st of them all. Just get W10 if you feel like it, its a decent OS to use as a daily driver.

I have not encountered any bugs last few months, all seems pretty safe, just some issues running old and dated games. Other than that, its good.
