Hi /g/.
I am a standard office drone working in an admin role. I have recently been having issues at work because I struggle to interact with the people in our internal IT department which is hurting my ability to work effectively.

Long story short I am very bad at social interaction and I think I made them dislike me last week. Now tey basically ignore me when I need help

Every time I have had IT issues since I have called them and they have ignored me. I tried to walk over and apologise but whenever I go they write notes that say 'sorry, we can't speak, we can't access words' and hand them to me then go back to their work. In fact I think they might be fucking with my computer on purpose.
How can I paper over the cracks? I know some of you work in IT departments, what can I do to show I am sorry?

As someone who used to work in IT, you did the #1 worst thing an end-user can do. You bit from the hand that feeds. You're fucked. Your best option is to learn how to fix your computer by yourself in your spare time.

I am not buying food for them because then I will need to do it for everyone in the office.

I have tried to bake them cookies with the Microsoft word logo as a fun apology but couldn't make them taste good.

>working in network admin at a casino (install/configure/manage routers/switches)
>some big boss guy from another dept needs a VPN setup so he can access our servers from home
>puts the ticket into the helpdesk, ticket makes its way to the networking team after hours
>the guy put the ticket in while he was already at home at night and needed access that night

he just kept making it worse. all he had to do was be nice.
he would send out emails an CC everyone about how nothing is working and the IT guys suck etc.
so we just kept fucking with him.

at email login was SSO so we could reset his AD password and then get into his email. We would read everything and send emails to other execs. They were passing nudes around and other typically exec stuff. So we saved them all and would send random pics of girls and make up stories.
we'd delete from his sentbox and wait until the other people read them before deleting them frorm their inboxs too. that way no one could ever ask him about the email and show him

I've felt this at least 5-10 times per week at work for years and I've only had a few complaints put in about me and those are always from losers who complain about everyone, we must take all complaints seriously etc and never stay with this or the other companies for more than 4 months

You're a lost cause, if you weren't such an autist and chimped out over some menial issue and actually apologised you wouldn't be in this mess.

I had a sales person flip out on me because excel 2010 couldn't operate it's "Save & Send" function, apparently saving and attaching to E-mail is just "too much admin" for a big man baby to do.

I miss my network admin role where I had a 25 man helpdesk in front of me and I never actually had to interact with people - didn't pay that much but it was comfy.
