How hard are phone interviews for development jobs? I've been out of school for 3 years.

Were you at least working for those 3 years, or just mooching off your parents?
>>54918252
I was working but it was really half-assed, small business freelance stuff. Websites, servers, misc business/back end stuff. Nothing really 'hard'

Be prepared to answer pretty much anything from your core CS classes. Algos, OS, languages, computational complexity, maybe networking.
they're not hard in the sense that you'll be asked really tough questions most of the time. they're hard because you're asked to solve programming problems on the spot, or you're asked to fill in technical details about stuff you've done in the past but haven't touched in a long time.
you'll probably get asked to open a web browser and do an interactive programming session with the interviewer too.
luckily there are tons of resources online for practicing programming interview questions. you're probably going to get asked to write something like a program that converts to pig latin and back, or reverses strings, those are the most common problems I used to get.
