Dude. It's an operating system. Do what you usually do with operating systems.
install windows

oh man, lots of stuff!
* install gcc and write some c programs
* spin up a server with nc or some shit
* install the google authenticator pam module so you get 2FA on your own personal computer
sky's the limit anon, ask yourself what you WANT to do and then figure out how to use the literally millions of completely free tools to do it. linux is what you make of it.
Install debian.
Learn shell scripting and know your system. Seriously, If you're a lazy fuck like, you would.

Is there even a distro without gcc or at least clang preinstalled?
Install a terminal program called htop. Then open your terminal and run htop. Look down the list and learn what each one of those running applications does. This way your computer is not keeping secrets from you.

First: realize how shitty everything looks and start trying hundreds of thousands themes for window decorations, icons and other stuff.
Second: realize that most of them look like shit, and all of those that looked good at first all have this teeny tiny flaw that starts to aggrovate you.
Third: go deep into the system and re-script the shit the way you like it.
Fourth: you now have spent hours of your pathetic life to rearrange some pixels, and theres still something you can't fix.
Fifth: Fixate on this unimportant flaw, it mocks you and your very incompetence. This little a bit to much blurry icon is the ever persistent incorporation of your failure.
