I was looking on the /g/ wiki and saw the same image used from 2014.

I'm looking for a good FPS mouse similar to my current Kinzu. I don't care about buttons, besides a DPI toggle switch, and I just want a comfy mouse with good ergonomics.

Suggestions? By the way, has anybody updated the guide since I left in 2014?

There's no point in buying an FPS mouse since your eyes can only see up to 30 FPS.

Everyone seems to love the G303 if you want something small, minimalistic and with a great sensor.

Razer's shit, and everyone on /g/ knows it. If they're recommending it, they're trolling.

Don't really remember what other mice are /g/ approved atm, but Logitech and Steelseries seem to be the most popular brands I see around here.

M65 and Rival 300 are both great, but G303 has a better sensor than both.
Comes down to which one you'd find more comfortable in the hand.

G502 is the only other mouse Logitech makes with the same sensor as the G303, so it's another solid choice if you're looking for more features.

Not familiar with Zowie's mice.
>>
>>54911798
Appreciate it.

I've always been a fan of SteelSeries, so I'm a bit biased towards them. My budget is pretty much limitless, but there seems to be no reason to buy a $150 mouse over a $60 one.
>>
>>54911853
Yeah, I get that.
Only reason mice in that price range are worth it is if you actually care about things like adjustable weights, or hybrid wired/wireless.

For me personally, the only product line of Logitech's I care about are their mice, and they've always made my favorites.
Have owned Corsair and Razer mice in the past, but always ended up going back.

I bought pic related cause it was comfy and cheap and has dpi switches and forward/back buttons for browsing. Also the quality seems pretty nice for the price. My only complaint is that my right mouse button is pretty sensitive so if I'm not paying attention sometimes I'll click it by mistake just from resting my finger on it

I'd suggest the rival 300, the only issue I've had with it is that the pads under the mouse wear fast if you have a razer vespula or a mouse pad that has a bumpy top. Also the I had an issue with the grippy rubber pads on the side of the mouse wearing fast, but both issues were fixed with an rma.

Get Zowie, they have proven flawless sensors and a range of ergonomics options (left, right, ambidextrous, size, weight)

If you want cheaper steelseries rival also has a flawless sensor and is not too expensive.
>>
>>54918264
it's pretty impressive for everything it gives. Same sensor as G502/G303 which are the best on the market. Lighter than the G502 (130g) at 107g.

Apparently the wireless mode doesn't lose any tracking performance so it's 10/10 aside from shape. Wait for an ergonomic version to come out if you hate ambi

G303 is pretty close, but you lose 2 buttons. That was a deal killer for me. Roccat Kone Pure is pretty similar too, but Military didn't work on my mousepad so it went back too.

I got a G402 as an emergency replacement when my G9 finally died, and I liked it so much that I stopped trying to find a G9 replacement. It's small enough that, despite the shape, it touches my hand only where the G9 did. Though I imagine that if you have tiny hands it would be a palm grip.

A good mouse is all about the sensors most modern "gaming" mice use good sensors as seen here >>54920531 so it's just a choice of aesthetics, budget and what feels good in your hands.
>>
>>54918264
It's the best mouse out right now in the market.

>the best optical sensor you can buy right now
>very light
>good, durable and nice switches which won't break easily
>wireless isn't a nightmare like on other wireless mice
>ambidextrous

only cons are the hefty price tag, lack of ergonomic shape and people seem to report logitech a lot for having really bad customer support.

>>
>>54912700
This. Just get a deathadder. Nice buttons, great sensor, fits non-manlet hands well.
>>
>>54920801

I concur. EC1-A is the best choice. Bought one last week after layers and years of shill
- Track record
- maturity
- Discretion

Any rich fag will tell you how discretion is a part of virtue and how many wings were burnt for being too brazen.

Many brands don't show as much on reviews or comparisons because they're simply in another league: seasonic, lianli, noctua to name a few.

I play CS since beta 7.1 - look at SpawN, intellimouse explorer -- look at Potti, playing with the arrow keys

Equipment and style for that matter, doesn't correlate with skill.

I have the mx518 and its a great mouse, back then we've been warned that laser was going to replace optical and to stock up...

Saying that the "sensor" is everything is diminishig performance to quantifiable material specs and as a human you'd rather translate talent and optimus into the fit which is style and taste

This discussion on overmarketed spaceship logitechs is like saying lamborghinis are better than ferraris - to have the average consumer buy a 360 modena when the real connaisseur owns an Enzo and is discrete about it because he knows and it just raises in value

No harm in fanboys but open your awareness to the spectrum for higher definition

Unless you have a full-blown retard claw grip, it should be a dealbreaker right there. Most realise that the further a design moves away from the standard ergonomic intellimouse example the quicker you'll want to fuck it off for being an uncomfortable piece of shit.

Don't worry, you did well. Don't let the cheap price bother you, most of logitech's older products eventually drop significantly in price as they get older, but it's still a pretty good mouse.

Sensor technology didn't really change much, PMW3366 and PMW3360 still are the two best optical sensors on the market, and most of logitech's mice only utilise these two sensors if I recall. For more expensive mice, you're essentially just paying extra for a bunch of fancy LEDs, better material/better switches (though logitech's old mice already have good, durable design). The difference between 3366 and 3360 is also barely unnoticeable, so it's not worth it paying extra just for the sensor.

Stay away from these no name 'custom made' sensors as much as possible, most of them are downright terrible. Stick only to PMW.

Why not? It's good hardware, made from good material and has very good sensors. Most good technology is marketed towards gamers anyway. I'm not a big fan of the 'gaymer design' either, but gamers get the first thing almost every time. It's either them or enterprise companies.

Buy that shit, sell the shitty mouse for like a 100$ and buy any other mouse ever, some mice to consider:
SS Rival 300(or some new one with bullshit like a fucking screen on a fucking mouse)
Zowie mice(don't require software)
Razer Deathadder(I've heard it's extremely comfortable, doesn't feel better than my Rival for me though)
Logitech G502/G402/G303 or whatever if you're not disgusted by that terrible design and extra bullshit buttons like SNIPE
Mionix, although the famous Naos didn't feel that good and basically has only one possible way to hold the mouse
Asus ROG Gladius seemed good, but I've only read about it on their site, so who the fucks knows
Then there are some non mainstream shit that can be either awesome or shit like the >>54923308 or the Final Mouse

Need a light small mouse for FPS.

I own one of the mini Salmosas but it's so light that the cable alone will move it or strongly guide its movement. Even with tape or a bungee.

Paid less for the G502 than G303 costs now. Same sensor but smaller with less features so the G303 just seems silly. Same for the wireless Sensei or G900.

The G502's rubber grip has pretty much all worn away so it's not comfy anymore. Also far too big. I do like the scroll wheel but can compromise there.

The G502/G600 cables are thick, stiff, and have cloth so friction or the varying tension throughout the cable gets in the way as I move it.

Moving one direction feels totally different than another. With a bungee you're limited to a small area which also sets a minimum DPI so I'm strongly considering wireless.

My case is right next to the mouse so signal won't be a problem for a wireless mouse.

Ergonomic/right-handed is preferable.
>>
>>54925562
I know it sounds terrible to go back to sucking the Logitech teat,
But the G402 is an overlooked mouse. Amazing optical sensor, DPI/back forward/ and programmable thumb button all on one side, sleek black look.
Best mouse I've ever used for CS:GO and it's light for the flickin and flackin
>>
>>54926549
The size would still be a problem. I don't actually mind the brand.
If I could deal with a large mouse I'd get the 700s or Master. The G402 only really beats the G502 for me by having a more tolerable cable.

The MX Anywhere 2 is appealing but tops out at 1600 dpi and middle click is assigned to a separate button.

So I'd like to be more specific now:
Preferably wireless or very thin/flexible rubber cable
Light
Max size ~Zowie ZA13
Right-handed
2000DPI minimum

Honestly if the EC2-A was ZA13-sized I'd get it. Ambi grip on the ZA13 is a nope for me.

How are Cooler Master mice? Specifically the CM Storm ones.
