That's a good question. There is no need for permanent storage larger than 120GB. I used a 16GB SSD for 2 years and never got close to filling it up.

The new fusion drives only have 32gb of flash I think. You are better off buying one with a real ssd or an external usb3 or thunderbolt ssd if you want to do it cheaper

Fair enough. I thought they changed it but I'm obviously wrong. Ideally you want a separate disk to store scratch footage on, in my edit box I have a boot ssd, a cheaper project ssd that stores the footage I'm currently working on and an external HDD to save projects I'm not working on to. Editing from a single internal HDD because it's doubtful the footage will hit the ssd, is not fun. Get the fusion drive, but get an external ssd to work from
