Shit I did. It was worse for me because I got an iPhone 6 plus and I kept telling myself that the lack of features and lag I experienced was somehow okay. After a few months I caved in and sold it on ebay. Got a moto x play and so far I've been happy with the lack of lag and overall better battery life.

I don't know, OP. I like iOS.
I've been using Android since the G1/HTC Dream - but after getting an actual job and shit to do, I was getting tired of Android bugs and maintenance.
I switched from a OnePlus One to a iPhone 6 and love it.
Despite having shittier specs on paper and a lack of customizability, the iPhone has a better camera, messaging, response, and all that.
It just werks. :^)

How is it slower? Isn't it the only phone on the market with NVMe storage? (last time I checked). It's definitely faster than anything I've used so far, and it's my first iphone, so no apple bias.

Over time as apps build cache and general extended usage of ios you begin to suffer lag. This happens on Android as well but because it has more RAM it copes better for a longer time.
Also iPhones have horrible battery lives and are known to overheat like the htc one m9 due to "muh thinness".
I've owned iPhones and Android phones and after careful consideration I've stuck with Android. Currently own a Note 4.
