WTF are all these games crashing randomly?
Built new pc
i5 6600k intel @ 4.2ghz overclock (never been above 80c ever, not cpu problem)
16gb ripjaws 4 g.skill ram
asus oc strix nvidia gtx 960 4gb gfx (stock oc speed)
asus z170k motherboard
fractal 650watt modular
seagate 1tb
samsung 750 evo 120gb ssd
I did next to no driver installs when I powered the computer on, but nvidia geforce xp did the graphics, and i checked device manager for any yellow !'s
Pretty sure drivers are ok but might be wrong.
Anyone know why it's crashing games 1-5 hrs in? bluescreened twice in 1 week, they said "irql not equal or less to" which is a phrase i googled to many different irrelevant problems to mine.

Gee I wonder

I even put a arrow to help you

thanks any recommended programs?
And what after? If I crash constantly during a GPU test I redo drivers the manual way or
you should play at default clock first/no oc. and see if it stable. Have u try running memtest?
>>54889245
Yeah might give that a go during stress tests, the cpu overclock was done automatically by the bios software, but i still will put it back
No stress tests or benchmarks have been done yet no
Try iobit briver booster it will detect all drivers on the pc and update them its free software but there is a paid verson but to me no difference between the two

AYY LMAO
>>54889271
LOL WUT.
Gee op just let windows update do the job/use generic Microsoft driver first. If u find trouble with it/some of them showing exclamation mark on device manager check out Microsoft update catalog for driver.

Upgrade your Bios and stop overclocking because you probably don't need it.

I have less problems with an i5-6400 running at 3.2GHz because stupid used computer with the ASUS "duck your preferences and settings I'm gonna over clock your shit no matter what" Z170-AR motherboard.
I was going to upgrade to an i7-6700k but have no need for that compile strength nor that many threads, then I was like, I'll get an i5-6600k.
Why? I'm going to wait a bit and worry about a new CPU with a MoBo, case and custom loop pretties after I reach CPU bottleneck with a 1080 Ti when they come out next year.
Till then I'll stick with my meme R9 280 that came with the shit and meme MoBo

Doesn't work like that you dumb nigger

It's like you want your GPU to be fried once the new generation comes out.
>>54891063
>fried GPU

*Something is wrong pic*
So I turned it back to 3.6ghz,
>>54890567 (yer it wouldn't let me 3.5 nor does it not rise above 3.6 @ 3.6 setting)
and updated bios (about 1 year newer)
and its sweet now, been stressing since first reply on here and moved to phone.
I think it was the skylake bug which the bios fixed.
