How would you improve the trading floor /g/?
Well, I'd start by elevating the desk jockey relative to his monitors. Can't be good for the neck looking up at those top ones.

probably the first thing would be higher pixel density screens to display graphs, charts, text, etc... with more clarity/sharpness.
for the number of monitors we're talking about, that'd definitely mean a few high-ish end graphics cards (the 970 can drive a few 4k monitors but those cards don't typically have that many ports in the first place, so you'd need at least 2 cards to drive the ~8-10 monitors)
if you have 16:9 monitors in portrait orientation you can get similar display coverage as in the picture by setting 4 or 5 next to one another, and maybe one or two on top in landscape orientation.
