Your own fault for removing the distro's recovery boot option.

Windows kernel doesn't get updated often that's why things always work.
>>
>>54870375
Why are you updating the kernel if you have no idea what you're doing? If stability of your system is important to you, why aren't you using a distro designed for that exactly? There's a reason stable system don't just do kernel updates on the fly. There's a reason LTS kernels exist. There's a reason some distros are configged for specific kernels. Etc.

>muh new newness novelty for the sake of new newness novelty
>system breaks, be in tears

Understand what you need to do with your computer and then use it accordingly.

By rolling back when you fuck up.

Can't NTFS en EXT4 already do that?
>>
>>54871532
I don't get it, are you saying its core is debian? if so then what?
>>
>>54871546
No, that just rolls back certain OS files, this rolls back the entire file system instantly.
>>
>>54871123
OS X is superior to Linux, it's true.
Too bad I'm too poor at the moment.

That's fine, but then you should keep your tears to yourself and not whine about having to waste time on fixing your system.

> broken X

I've never understand this meme. I've been using arch since around 2013 and X is the only thing that never broke. My only issues were properietary drivers and GNOME but other DE/WM and mesa drivers always worked flawlessly
>>
>>54870375
Just boot using the older kernel.
>>
>>54872440
thus the truth hath been spoken.
>>
L.O.L. xD
gud 1 bro
>>
>>54872440
The proprietary AMD drivers relied on old kernel versions so X would break every time the kernel upgraded which was every week.
>>
>>54872845
pretty sure that still happens but that's the user's fault for using proprietary drivers on a bleeding edge distro
>>
>>54872870
I don't think Nvidia has this problem so it's AMD's fault.
>>
>>54872898
The user should know what he's getting into before buying a product or installing a distro. AMD's own site warns you about which kernels work so it's entirely the user's fault.
