Because apple have their on hardware to develop for, Microsoft develops for multiple different manufactures such as lg, Asus, Acer, Samsung, HP, alienware so they can't cater every different laptop desktop and tablet out their

>even XXXTREME GAMER cancer like razer blade with 4X the CPU/GPU power and 70WHr battery matches it in battery life in same tasks
>gets BTFO by 55WHr Yoga 2 in battery life in same tasks
>the battery takes up the space where a cooling system would've been in a laptop not designed by the world's thinnest and lightest gay hipsters
>overheats at the slightest task because abysmal crippled cooling system

Some of the 2012 models had dodgy flash memory (Toshiba if I recall) for which apple had a recall program. They have a test tool in store for it.
>>
>>54862783
The machine I was talking about in my last post re: dodgy flash memory was for the 2012 MBA. The 2012 non-retina pro also is known to HDD problems but this wasn't acknowledged through an official recall but if it met the criteria and was inside 3 years, you could get a repair exception if you escalated it. Either way, put an ssd in it, remove the odd and put another HDD in and put 16gb ram if 8gb doesn't cut it.

if you take care of shit, it'll last long, full stop
only machines I've had that haven't lasted were a pair of Acer shitboxes

>>54862821
>OSX is a steaming pile of shit with horrendous battery management
see, this is wrong
like appallingly wrong (try running Windows or some variety of Linux on the machine, RIP battery life)
there's probably something retarded about the hardware itself that's draining battery, since OSX gets like 2x the battery life

on the other hand, the fact that Apple left no room for anything else after jamming in nothing but batteries in the machine is kind of dumb
cooling on the MBA is a joke
shit, cooling on the MBP is a joke

the only possible way to have the things doing anything terribly intensive for any extended period of time is to stick them in a fridge

>if you press too lightly or too hard it does something completely different than what you intended
I tried it out in the Apple Store. What a piece of shit.

clickpads suck in general (and god, the fact that they began to catch on outside of Apple was awful), but the multi-pressure click is a miserable idea

What kind of shit have you been buying to feel like four years is anything special?
>>
I have a 2012 non-retina Macbook pro aswell, if it has an HDD in it they basically run like shit. If you swapped an SSD into it, I could see it running slightly better but overall OSX is pretty fucking bloated. Retina MBP from 2014+ are pretty great laptops, aswell as thinkpads.

>four years
faggot I had a freaking emachines that lasted me 13 years, what makes you think your four year old macbook is special? The stupid thing still works even now, the only reason I'm not still using it now in 2016 is because I got into 3D rendering and its 32 bit AMD Sempron 3100+ with 512MB of DDR RAM shared with the integrated nVidia GeForce 6100 wasn't up to the task. And when I stopped using it, it was still good looking and ran great for web browsing and email. At least under Linux. Windows XP was a nightmare, it spent 90% of its time swapping. But once I discovered the joys of Linux it looked better than ever and worked better than ever, too. But okay, go ahead and think your 4 year old computer is special.

One thing that I often see is that people who buy macs usually never bought a premium laptop before. They usually always had some 400 USD shit machines, then go with a 1500 USD MacBook Pro. Of course they will have overwhelmingly good experience with the MacBook Pro, as they are not only comparing a PC with a mac, but also low end with high end. It's getting better, but five years ago literally every PC laptop looked like utter shit. I think people saw no point in buying premium when they all they got is some black plastic box anyway. The market was really terrible back then. MacBooks had absolutely no competition when it came to aesthetics.

Anyway, I have similar experiences with Apple stuff. My first MacBook lasted five years and it wasn't even close to broken when I sold it to get a new one (I even got good money out of that). And I really used it very heavily, carried it around every day etc. There are some things by Apple that suck though, like cables. My MagSafe died all the time basically. Same with headphones and USB cable of my iPhone. The iPhone overall is not very satisfying. I mean, sure, it's getting four years old and still runs fine, but then again, I had to change the Lightning connector, the battery and the camera. Good thing is that I could at least. Even though the iPhone has the inexplicable reputation of being irreparable, I doubt that I had just as much luck getting parts for some random Android phone to replace them.

What the fuck is your point? This bait sucks.
