I've been using a GTX 760 since 2013, and I just havn't been very impressed by new cards coming out. The cost for pitiful upgrades hasn't seemed worth it.
Still, i'm looking for an upgrade. Should I pick up a 960-980? Or... do I just pick u pa second 760???
RX 480
rx480 is what you're looking for.
Pick an AMD polaris card, it's more powerful and cheaper than the junk you just cited
>>54856368
RX 480
Its only $200 new and kills everything
>>54856368
960 is like a 770, it's not worth to upgrade to it. If you want to stick to nVidia go with 1070 o 1060
kek gimped 760, you should pick 7870 back then lol
>inb4 ayymd 480
GTX 1070 or GTX 1060
Ignore AYYMD trolls, they're not relevant
1080 is all you need baby.

Man, I've had nothing but bad experiences with AMD cards. Every time I've bought AMD i've ended up regretting it severely.

not trolling here someone post benchmark of that gimped 760 >>54856382 right here
>>54856382
or pic related even 7850 is now above gimped760
The 1070 seems to be the sweet spot of what is coming out right now

What is your most recent example?
>>54856552
AIBs GTX1070 will be available around the day RX480 hit the market.
Why pay twice the price for 20% more performance? Doesn't make sense for me.
>>54856368
Rx 480 will beat 970 and 960 for sure, consumes less power and is cheaper, has 4gb/8gb vram vs 3.5gb... Unless you want 1070 but the price tag isnt very appealing
>>54856658
LOL NO
150W means it consumes more power than GTX 970 145W & GTX 960 120W
GTX 1060 GP106 will replace those cards with much lower power consumption than Poolaris
>>54856658
RX480 has been confirmed to be the leaked 67DF:C7 benchmark.
Which put it on the same tier as Fury/above 980/slightly below 980ti.
>>54856685
150 tdp is maximum theoretical power Polaris can get out of it single pice and 6 pin connector.
It won't be fully utilizing it.
>>54856685
doesn't really matter now that AMD has matched nvidia when it comes to low power consumption. nvidiots will have to come up with another excuse for their bias.
>>54856368
>>54857022
If I was going to bait i'd have just asked RX480 vs 1060.
I was thinking abut maybe getting a second 760 or a 960.
Now that all this is said I may wait for the 1060 though.
>>54857107
I like my 4gb 960, but at this point i'd give it a little just to see how long it is before the 1060 drops.
I have GTX 760 myself and it's time to retire for the RX480
I'll miss you Shadowplay, you've been a good companion
>>54857182
OBS VCE branch is doing fine. Raptr is pure shit though.
>>54856483
Describe your experiences please
>>54856368
960 is literally the same thing as the 760, which is the same thing as the 680. Check out the benchmarks, you fill find they perform exactly the same
>>54857182
what the fuck do you niggers need shadowplay for
>>54857263
The two computers I built first both crashed less than a year after purchase and blue screened till I replaced he AMD cards with nivida.
I know that it was probably my own inexperience and was a long time ago when amd was having trouble, but it burned me pretty bad. I havn't bought amd since.
>>54856368
maybe wait for price drop when 1000 series comes out and nab a 980 or 980ti? I have the 980 and it's phenomenal.
>>54857273
recording my godlike frags and plays. Shadowplay is the only thing keeping me on nvidia's side.
>>54856368
Did you just completely miss the polaris 10 announcement?
>>54858842
But OBS gives you more control and higher quality, and AMD has equivalent software
>>54858925
does it support shadow mode? aka the gpu is always recording and with a single key combination it saves the last 15 minutes or so? Needless to say, it has 0 impact on the game's performance.

As always nvidia users are just uninformed

Hehu AMD knows a thing or two about pulling more power than things are specified for
