What's the best software for recording video games right now? I havent bothered recording anything for like three years and the last thing I used was FRAPS and I remember not liking it

I've a bit used OBS, looks one of the best for windows, on linux, simplescreenrecorder is just... sweet
you can record 30 seconds with the windows inbuilt recorder.

Just use Nvidia's shadowplay. It's built into the video driver, it's free, and it's probably the one that will give the least performance hit. You're on AMD? I'm so sorry.

Built in wangblows recorder works fine for casual clips. You can do the last 30 seconds or manually start and stop it. Even include the mic. I'm sure there's better stuff for more in depth purposes though
