It's double-clicking because the click mechanism is going bad there's a piece of copper that makes a connection that is worn down. It happened to mine too but I had mine for 7 years before it started doing it. Get a G6 02 my battery last 7 months if I put a Quantum Duracell in it

Not to mention the middle mouse button doesn't work and I had to remap it to one of the side buttons.
Though now I've gotten used to it that is a much more comfortable position for middle click.

I've had this bad boy for a year now and have only had to replace the batteries(two of them) once. I use it daily and never shut it off, running performance mode. Only problem is the middle click doesn't wanna work sometimes.
