I have an illegitimate copy of Windows 7 on my PC. I want to legitimize it before Microsoft locks me out of my PC forever, but I don't want to shell out $130 for a real version of Windows 7. What other option is there??

Go to the closest computer lab / library and take a product key off the towers there. Install whatever version the key is and activate it with that one. Or if you don't want to reinstall I think you can use the upgrade Windows program in W7 to upgrade with the new key, then you have to call the automated support and activate it that way.
