Less reliable, slower, lower bandwidth, less secure...

exactly. I too use a pretty good netgear wifi adapter like OP here and if i was using wired connection it would be a hell of a lot better

I use xfinity and an A6100 Netgear WiFi adapter, so even tho I'm not wired my speeds are pretty good, a few lag spikes here and there when I play League but nothing too bad

But wires are outdated

The wireless cloud is the future. It's twenty six tayn. The only wire you need is a USB C cable into a power outlet.

Time Wanger Cable
After having endless buffering issues and lag spikes on a wireless connection I got myself hooked on some CAT6 cables and a good Ethernet Switch.
The Linky's AC900 router may have high wireless speeds, but they are still shit.
Even if it's "twenty six tayn", I'll swear by a wired connection because wireless is till too slow and still has issues when it comes to responsiveness.
Run yourself an Ethernet cable OP, life will be better.

I never have issues with reliability even with my old and retarded router. The speed is 150mbps on average which is more than enough for most uses. You can go higher if you want. Encrypted connection is good enough security.
