So...I ran Warhamer:TW on a new comp with a 970 and it has ran mostly perfectly this whole week, fast load times, virtually no choppiness or lag, etc.
Then today, it started getting jittery and unresponsive for seemingly no reason. Clicking any button would give momentary lag and make audio stutter. Both battles and the campaign map were getting shitty frame rates. I restarted my comp and it still has the same problems. Anyone have an idea of wtf could be going on?
Oy vey how unfortunate! It seems like your only option is to buy the new Gtx 1080 like a good goy.

It could be overheating

Does that mean it already got cooked? Or if I leave it off for a while it'll be fine?

Could be done resource hogging malware, try scanning with your antivirus

Just did a full scan with spybot and malwarebytes, got nothing and the problem is the same.
Is there a chance I fried my vid card somehow? How would I check to know?
Does bad ram could cause stuttering? small freezes for less than a 1 second.

Yes it's your video card. The 1070 is about to be released.

Check
- Only TW or all games
- steam local files verify integrity of cache
- try offline / save credentials
- no background dl, steam overlay...
- reinstall steam, you could copy steamapps folder instead of redl
- power plan high performance
- Nvidia cpanel : power max performance
- Cpanel: prerendered frames application setting
- latency mon to check latency
- Disable sound if its sound card /antivirus..

I've had it for 3 months... :(

I already had it installed but It was saying it couldn't connect to NVidia so I downloaded the latest drivers manually.
