I had the opportunity to try both, and rift just feels better. Vive is more fun, because of the motion controls, but I see no reason to pass up all the other positives with touch being released later this year.

Complete bullshit. Lighthouse is not only wireless but is far less computationally wasteful than CV based positional tracking. Touch controllers suffer more from occlusion than the Vive wands and lose accuracy at much smaller distances. Lighthouse stomps all over Constellation.

Also, with Vive you don't have to install the malware that is Oculus Home on your PC.

Not true, where the Vive has light sensors, the rift has IR LEDs. They are analogous as pose reconstruction nodes and each one is a point of failure.

Lighthouse base stations and peripherals both have firmware that can be upgraded.

No, you just need an array of LEDs with line of sight. There is literally no reason to even bring up LOS in a discussion about the differences because any tracking system needs LOS. Unless you want to discuss the fact that the touch controllers being smaller means they're easier to occlude. Furthermore what the tracking looks like is irrelevant because when you're in VR you can't see the exterior of the headset. Putting form over function here is just being wasteful.

It's rotational tracking, actually. But yeah, this is the only advantage the rift has over the Vive's tracking.

You don't know jack shit about these tracking systems, and everything you said in your last post is a total distraction from the fact that you couldn't refute me regarding Lighthouse being more efficient.
