I have one as well. It's a great router. Just flash DD-WRT on it and you can change the power on the antennas on it. On stock firmware it uses 71 mAh but you can change it to 1000 mAh (though the fcc states you can use 100 mAh on 2,4 ghz max and 200 mAh on 5ghz).
It's really awesome and DD-WRT comes with a build on adblocker.

looks like something from the 90's but has a USB 3.0 port.

The T-Mobile cell spot, it is basically a T-Mobile branded Asus ac68 that they give away for free, I flashed asus-merlin on to it and have been really impressed with the range.

Best choice if you want something that just works.

How is the 'Fon S0' port diferent from a regular LAN port - looks like they have the same ammount of pins. Also its pretty neat that it has USB 3.0 and FXS built right into it.

It's called German engineering.

Aren't you supposed to give those back when your service ends? Do you have a way to reflash the original firmware?
>>
>>54801945
S0 is for an ISDN phone.
>>
>>54801956
Yeah you are, and I still have a version of the OG T-Mobile firmware. If you do keep it they only charge you $100 for it which is half off the real price anyway so depending on when I cancel my service I might end up keeping it

Being that it has USB 3.0 I can only presume this is a newer router. Why ISDN why not VoIP?

Can I use any router regardless of my ISP? this Motorola AT&T router is killing me
>>

Probably just rebrand cobbled together parts from other chinese manufacturers.
>>
>>54802026
The telephone ports are just there if you want to connect old phones. The router internally works with VoIP.

That makes sense. That router looks ugly as sin, but still pretty impressive.
