SDR and Ham radio general.
I got into this neat little hobby a couple years back with the cheap RTLSDR usb dongle. Picked up myself a Airspy and love the 10MHz spectrum bandwidth display.

Here's a transmission of a 800MHz backhaul link from a local community radio station.

Part of GSM spectrum using the Spectrum Spy tool.
The small little burst of colour I believe is the TDMA signals

No transmitting built in, receive from about 25Mhz to upwards of 1700Mhz. It gives you a good look at local radio and tv signals also local emergency services radio

Its cool and everything but what useful can you do with it?
Can you use it for Reverse Engineering or something?
Without transmission it seems a little pointless to me.
