Raidmax Hyperion.

Not enough airflow in the back to vent harddrive heat. I had to move one to the mount at the bottom of the main area under the GPU otherwise they run about 42C. Now they are back down to 32C. Bad thing is they didn't think out the spacing for the bottom mount and if you want a fan and an HDD its possible but the cabling for the Hard drive will be extremely tight fit. it slightly pushes up on the connectors. I should probably not do that but oh well.

They should just elevate the entire motherboard by the 5mm that the removable radiator mount takes up.
Seriously, whoever came up with that idea should have his arms removed and fleas put into his underwear.
>pull rack out mount the radiator to the rack
>move rack back into position, only to realize that it blocks access to your top CPU waterblock screws
>remove rack and put waterblock in place
>have to put rack back in because the tubing is too short
>can't put it in a quarter of the way without the thng getting in your way again
>remove radiator from rack, leave rack in place, mount waterblock and then attach radiator to rack in its mount

The front filter could only be removed by removing the bottom intake filter, any device in the 5.25" bays, and then the entire front panel so you can pull the filter out.
Literal retards at NZXT make you remove your optical drive, fan controller, or whatever else you put in those bays just so you can clean the front filter. And no, vacuuming from the front grill doesn't work very well.

Front airflow in it is shit because of that "sound deadened" front panel, and yet if you mount top exhaust/intake fans on it, it completely defeats the purpose of the sound deadening. Window is small as shit and you don't get nearly enough room in the back for effective cable management.
Build quality is also a bit iffy.

Quick and easy fix.
Buy 3mm-thick 120mm fan gaskets and cut a 120x120mm square of pantyhose. Remove the fan, stick gaskets to the case, and tape/clip the pantyhose over the intake of the fan. Mount fans again over gasket.
Voila, all intakes are filtered and vibration free.

>>do you need those special screws with the rubber bits to get the drives installed?

yep they need rubber grommets,

the worst bit is where the fan sits in front of the cables , i'e sata and sata power is way to tight, i had to cut a hole, then add a plastic insert to stop the cable being cut by the aluminium hole and i only had one plastic insert from an old psu that's why the top bays haven't been sorted yet (plus i couldn't find another hinged bay door for less than 190.09 US Dollars £130 if britfag)

as you can see from this pic the birds nest of cables that need tidying,
i just haven't had the time to sort them out, i will do, but the system works plus i'm debating whether to buy a newer psu for the EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Classified ACX 3.0 i'm thinking of getting (i've a corsair ax850 at the mo with braided cables) it looks tidy the side where my components are and that's all that matters at the mo

don't get me wrong, i love it, but it isn't the dogs danglies they make it out to be, it's quiet weak and wouldn't take much to damage

>>54798715
surprisingly, no. They require a lot of force to push down, and the grey button is actually a yellow and black striped button behind a little plastic shield you have to lift up to press.

Only major gripe is I can't take the top optical drive bays out. They're soldered on.

The top has a magnetic case filter that gets damaged if poorly maintained and the cuts result in loud vibrating whines.

Got the airflow front panel coming in the mail soon so we'll see.

That case a shit, m8.

>looks good
No.
>wide as fuck
How is that good if the cable management is a pain in the ass because of shitty engineering
>unique and easy drive installation
Every drive is easy to install.

Not a whole lot going for it and it looks like a knock-off transformer from mainland China.

But don't worry because I'm currently using pic related.

Pros. hmmm. It's pretty durable all aluminum, I guess. Got it for 30 burgers.

Cons. No dust filters except for some bullshit screen on the front and psu cover. It's shit for cable management but I was able to do an ok job. Had to cut drive bays to get a 970 in there. No room for any kind of rad. Tight as fuck and annoying to work with. Front I/O is attached to the panel sucks when you need to clean the panel and fan. No USB 3. Dust collects in it because just honeycomb holes everywhere. It's ugly as fuck.

Building a new rig soon with a more knowledge and experience so i'll be getting a decent case. I hate that I thought "It's just a case to house the important bits. It doesn't matter" because it fucking does. Fuck this thing.

My only complaint at this point is that it's not easier to remove the bracket the radiators sit on. A snap in/out style like the side panels would be cool, instead of screws. But I won't complain as I don't remove it often.
>>
>>54801142
Whether or not they fit by default varies by case design. In my instance I had to cut off the original fan filter mesh (which was also non-removable without taking out the entire fan, making it largely pointless) and some other extruding parts that served no purpose, and stick on magnetic brackets that came with them in their stead. It was definitely a worthwhile investment given the amount of dust that would otherwise be entering my system.

Originally, I was very opposed to the idea of having my reservoir outside the case. But, considering it takes up no more foot print that the power cable and other cables going to my case, I don't really mind. Plus, I can set the case upside on a table edge and easily drain the entire system by opening the 45-degree fittings on the top of the reservoir.

I have a Fractal Design Arc Midi

Pros:
>Solidly built
>Removable HDD cage to fit big GPUs
>Very roomy, easy to install parts, has enough space for cable management

Cons:
>After lugging it around a lot over the years the side panels are bent a bit out of shape
>No sound dampening
>The included case fans are very loud
>The fans in the front touch the case, causing it to vibrate loudly

I put in some dampening mats, put rubber around the front fans to stop the vibration and changed the case fans.

I'm still going to get a new case when I upgrade my mainboard and CPu because this one's really banged up by now.

I've been thinking of getting this since it seems to be the best horizontal motherboard/dual chamber case, plus the glass window is sex. I can see why they wouldn't put a fan mount on the top, both for aesthetics and how it would be a pain to open and close with it there. The thing I don't understand though is
>Front fans are 120mm when 140mm looks like it would fit fine, maybe they're too wide.
>Only four drive slots. Even two slide in mounts stuck to the bottom of the motherboard tray for SSDs would cover 99% of use cases, having only four seems restrictive.
>Drive air intake not filtered.

By the way if you're still in the thread how does it look in real life? There's not many videos on it and I'm wondering if it would look too big on my desk.
