What kills their batteries is the general overheating of the whole laptop body. After many years of various housefire battery powered devices I noticed that when I manage to keep them cool (i.e. using them outdoors in winter) even at 100% load they last a lot more compared to when they overheat. So obviously a poorly cooled laptop like a macbook will be very inefficient when is not used to shitpost on facebook.
Macbooks are not made for heavy workloads, everyone who pretends they are workstations is lying, dumb or incompetent

I recently bought a used XPS 13. If I had found an MBP retina for the same price I'd had bought it.
I have no love for Apple and honestly every other product they make I can find a better option for the same price or often cheaper, except for the MBP. No other company does 16:10 screens, and few actually care about screen quality - 1 generation ago Lenovo used 900p (TN?) screens on their >1000$ X1. Their keyboards are shit, but honestly what light laptop has a good keyboard nowadays? And their storage options are great. Overpriced, sure, but great. Their trackpads are fantastic (though still worse than a 18$ Logitech mouse).
Shit build quality though. The ifixit teardown was a shame. Glue in a fucking 1500$ laptop.
To end my blogpost: though they're a company made successful from scamming dumb customers, they have one product that has no actual competition.
Apple is so far behind the times with technology it's sickening. They refuse to update their products and are solely focused on iPhone.
Chasing the quick profits is leaving them vulnerable.
