Are HDD palters aligned?
As in, if (in a clean rom and proper equipment yada yada) I rotated one OF TWO platters 30 degrees on its axis, would it be unreadable?
I have access to a clean room and a donor hdd; , and I was going to replace the reading head, but the idiot of me decided to replace the platters instead, but I didn't considered that they might be aligned....
when it hit me I sealed the hdd again and decided to do more research before proceeding....
p.s. the original m/b is fine, I tested it on other hdd (I did swap firmware chip).
