I have the option of purchasing two brand new r9 380x at $100 each today from a friend, or waiting until the gtx 1070 is released to purchase that.
What should I do in this situation? I currently do not have a GPU (280x just failed). I am leaning towards the 380xs.
Wait 2 weeks for 480x

1080p gaming at 60fps? 380's
Maybe even if you want 1080p at slightly above 60fps depending on game.
Otherwise wait for 1070 if you want to play new games at higher settings and resolution/fps

I'm not playing anything other than Overwatch at 1080p/60fps currently. I might make a move to 144hz but have no desire to go beyond that for the foreseeable future.

it's a tough call, desu. If you're willing to wait and spend more money then your gaming experience can exand a lot. But you can save a lot of money and upgrade in the future as well while playing older games at high setting and new games at high or medium settings. Post in reddit as well if you can, /g/ is a shitstorm right now desu senpai
