Why is Linux support for Intel atoms so bad? I have 2 PCs, both running an atom SoC.
For my d2550, there's no graphics drivers on Linux so I'm stuck with half assed open source drivers.
For my z3740 netbook there's no wifi and touch screen isn't working.
What gives? How can we ever expect Linux to take off if it's going to completely ignore the lower end of the market?
because linux is a fucking server os and the only use case for atoms is as extremely low powered servers

I'm talking about distros focused around bringing Linux to the desktop, like Ubuntu.

They are still "bringing" it.

It's time you slip into denial and blame third party support by companies like Intel, while saying "Linux is the kernel, there's nothing wrong with it" like a true fanboy, and spend your worthless time trying to fix it.

wow you're right why does not intel cater to MY needs?
>>54749061
Didn't Intel discontinue the Atom line?

Even so, the d2550 is not a new cpu for them to use this as an excuse. And it shouldn't take them 2 years for baytrail either.
I get it, it's free software, but at least make something that works. I don't like having to rely on windows because it fully works and performs better than any Linux distro on my hardware.

Stop it
