Hi /g/, what would be best, doing a minimal debian install or just installing gentoo?
My needs are:
1) customisability
2) stability and security
3) able to work with my hardware and software without any major issues
4)Support

Lol. I just like to RP sometimes with my guid when I have spare time. Plus I couldn't be bothered to download a relevant image for this thread so I just used this one. I'm trying to get a minimal OS which can work on my 10 year old laptop because I'm bored of windows xp.

AH sorry your original post was tldr because planeshift. my 10 year old thinkpad x60 tablet runs vanilla debian. I chose it just because I had never used it before. and some shit DE like xfce or something. I don't remember. vanilla debian is fun if you think installing all the shit that should already be there is fun.
