They ended support for their 6000 series released in 2011 just last year. The 6970 in particular is still more powerful than the 270x. Don't even get me started on their $999 6990. AMD doesn't give a fuck about their customers.
The 6000 series competitor, GTX 500, received DX12 two weeks ago. Even the GTX 400 series is still being supported.
Can't wait til next year where amd moves the 390 series to legacy and only support the newer gcn such as fiji/tonga. The butthurt will be incredible.
