Mac OS X is NextStep. NextStep was the OS Jobs created after leaving Apple back in the 80's. It was and is a UNIX OS. If you look up a chart of how UNIX has branched and evolved NextStep is right there branching off BSD.
Nobody questioned that NextStep was UNIX and competing against the other UNIX workstation OSes. If you had said such a thing back then you would have been laughed at.
Now we get to Apple.
The NextStep libraries are not "emulated." OS X is literally NextStep. It's the old classic Mac OS Toolbox libraries that were ported to run on top of NextStep and renamed the Carbon API.
But even Carbon is not "emulated." The old classic layer that actually launched Mac OS 9 as a single process to run old apps that were not updated for Carbon or ported to Cocoa (OpenStep) could be called a form of emulation. But that's it, and it's the reverse of what you claim.

First you have to explain, in point form, all the reasons in which Unix or Unix-like is superior to Windows.

Linux and GNU are open projects where anyone can join in and help and everyone can see what they do. You don't have to trust anyone if you don't feel like it, you can just see for yourself that there isn't any malicious code in them. If you can't do that or you have only one person who you trust, you can pay for that person to check it for you. If you have more people you trust you can pay for them all/anyone of them to check it. You don't have to pay for anyone to check anything though, because it's possible that you just hear about the malicious code from the internet after some random stranger finds it. You can be pretty confident that those open projects are only trying to do good.
Since they are open, there are other reasons people take advantage of them. People want to modify them to suit their special case and that's why you can see Linux in embedded devices which make dumb technology smart technology. Companies don't have to create something from the ground up when there are these open projects available which only needs some modification. Even companies like Tesla for example.
So they are more secure and more adaptive. They happen to be faster too due to Linux kernel being monolithic and talking to hardware drivers faster. They're also not tied to one profit making company which will take it with it after going bankrupt, or making it something else entirely just because they feel like it.
They are usable too, I have used different Linux distros on my laptop for years. Some are more fine tuned than others and make it more comfortable out of the box. You're not forced to select Windows in order to use a laptop or any other computer. Linux distros would be better and faster in games too due to Linux being monolithic, but they require hardware vendors to provide drivers that give enough performance for their hardware, and game developers to make their game for Linux too (emulated Windows games won't have that)

I don't pay for windows.
It's just more convenient for specific software. OSX is a bit slower on my PC due to it being hackintosh. GPU performance is crappy there. On linux it's even worse because AMD GCN 1.0 card. So I stay where my hardware works best.
