Ok /g/ reccomend me gaming(yellow) glasses. does anyone have a pair, are they useful or are they just a meme.
>inb4 get f.lux
sorry but some of us use multiple computers and are constantly switching computers
we already had a "are glasses a meme" thread going, did we really need a second one for yellow glasses? >>54713562
but personal opinion, they're overpriced. they're 0.25 diopter reading glasses with an AR coating. the AR coating makes the big difference with eyestrain, the yellow is a gimmick if you have a properly lit environment to compute in.

are you talking about the gunnars because those things cost out the ass but noscope glasses has them for under $30. trhinking of buying a pair to test

I was talking about Gunnars.
Noscope are just tinted AFAIK, I have no idea if they have antireflective coating or not, and online evidence seems to point against any sort of magnification. If they have A/R coating and it doesn't suck then that's not a bad price for them, if they don't have A/R coating then I would stay away.
I have really bad vision and I have computer glasses (suitable for vision 2-3 feet in front of me, optimized for that, A/R coating) but no tint and they do help a lot. But mine have a substantial vision adjustment (around 6 diopters per eye, plus astigmatism).

ok thanks for the help man

I bought a pair or prescription yellow tinted glasses and they work really good. They don't really help in games but they do help decrease eye strain.

I don't game I work in IT at a school. mostly consists of staring at screens and pretending to do shit. problem is my eyes hurt on about 2/3 days.
I bought a pair of prescription gunnars last year since I stare at a monitor 80% of my awake day. I use to get headaches and bloodshot eyes some days. Ever since I got them, I havent had either. Makes coding and working much better. No shill, highly recommended

>gaming(yellow) glasses
maybe you should buy programming glasses (transparent or blue-tinted) instead, for better problem-solving
