does anyone know what strap is on this timex

im 100% sure this is an obscene and unanswerable question but trying anyway because im reasonably sure it was a tripfags watch (sieg heil iirc) and maybe someone remembers him saying what it was.

if you're not sure a reasonable guess would be ok

Anyway, calf straps are specially comfortable, and easy to keep, in oposition to more exotic leathers. Get one and you'll appreciate it.
That kind of buckle is called "deployant" btw. You can find lots of different models and size on ebay.

>The reason we say that such coloration is mainly decorative, especially the color red, is because many colors fade as you dive under the water and light wave frequencies stop at various levels of depth. The aBlogtoWatch team - which includes a few divers - notes that the color red disappears at about 20 feet, thus rendering it all but invisible unless you have a light with you.

Most people start on the low or mid end anyhow. But it's true to some degree that some of the higher up watches are much more unique, and or have far better finishing. You can easily find mid end watches that are far superior to some of the upmarked "high" end watches.

I'm already deep on the poorfag section, and since the army here doesn't pay much at all i can't really afford anything on the higher end.

It's probably worth sub-10 bucks.

You don't need to know who makes it, just what kind of movement it has in it.

Retail value is pretty much as much as a fool is willing to pay for it.

Actual value is 10$~

Usually the maker is a no-history/noname chink company and the model isn't very clearly stated.

Why would a lume clash? Also you could put a tritium tube underneath each hand and wee the hands as shadows over an illuminated face.

I cannot see why a fully lumed face would be ugly. You just need to select the colouring scheme so it doesn't look like a juke box hit by lightening.

These old CSSR watches are neat, usually some the movements are copies or partial copies of Swiss movements. Same as all the older commie watches, simple and robust.

As far as the crystal, i don't think you can find exactly the same model. Perhaps a generic acrylic crystal will fit or you could find another case with a completely crystal.

>>54723917
That's one of the two parts that held the movement in place, the second image has a small tongue at almost 12o'clock on the movement that should be same part.

Retaining mechanism seems specific to this case, guess that might explain why there aren't any retaining screws but there are still holes for them.

Ok. Dude. Seriously, that is some hard ass backpeddling right there.

Let me chime in and ramble on.

Should your aspergers be so intense that you need a watch accurate down to the millisecond, then sure, go digital, be happy.

Mechanical watches, while there will always be inherent inaccuracies due to the limitations of the movement, it's a small if non existent nuisance in the end, just once a month, if that, set it back/forward a few minutes to whatever your computer reads out as.

I like mechanical watches because I enjoy the shear genius engineering that goes in to them to function.
That and by god are digital watches ugly as fucking sin.
