I am planning to change my windows 10 for a linux, but i suck when it comes to software
which is the best OS to basic needs like gaming and crawling the internet, i'm not the PCMasterRace guy so i do not care a change from PC to console(PS4)
What should i do /g/?

some games won't work.
others will work, but a little slower.
If you need 100% compatibility or bleeding edge performance, you must use Windows.
If you are satisfied with 90% of games running at 95% speed, linux is fine.

For some games it is 70% of performance, but rest assured that if you hardware can handle it, you'll get at least stable 40 - 60 fps for games.
Linux mint looks good and is nice and easy to use.
Game selection will be shitty though, and performance will be worse.

Ubuntu is a great choice buy try openSUSE if you get a chance
