Wayland seems to mostly works fine with Open Source drivers, when will Nvidia make drivers for Wayland?

X11 works fine, but it support too much old technology, and people no longer use that feature.
eg:
X11 support primitive shape, line polygons, arc, etc, but it's slow so today we only use OpenGL.
The same with font glyph raster, we already use external libraries (cairo, pango, etc).
And so on, so on...
You can't drop all this feature from X11, because it'll be no longer conformed to X11 spec.
Thus, Wayland was created.

They already did, you need to patch Wayland yourself for now because Wayland devs didn't like the way Nvidia added support.
