Cool, thanks for links.
>AI generals never survive on /g/
WHEN WILL THIS MEME END
>>54707393
What is there to talk about? Dpt is a more appropriate place for devs, reddit is a more appropriate place for singularity fags
>>54707393
Nearly all users on /g/ don't know anything when it comes to all things AI.
I don't have anything to contribute but thanks for the info.

I programmed 2048 in C++. I've added a basic artificial intelligence kind of based on the minimax algorithm. I'm thinking of doing a hybrid algorithm between minimax and something specifically catered to playing the game. Then after that I'm thinking of using something something machine learning. I don't know what I could use really any pointers? Also anyone curious about the code I could upload it to github if you are
I'm glad to see my thread the other day sparked something
>>54713474
well, i guess you can call this "something" but its not much
Has anyone gotten or are in the process of getting a Masters in Computer science?
I got my bachelor in EE in 2014 and have been a controls engineer for 2 years. GPA was 2.5 and I have no references.
I want to apply to Gerorgia Tech College of computing online program to get a Masters. What are my odds here?
Obviously the focus will be AI so I'm guessing I need some cool project on my own before I apply.
>>54713721
try to get some references
>>54713521
Rather than a general, the successful threads about topics like these on/g/ seem to begin with someone posting an interesting problem and some resident expert teaching everyone how to approach it. It would probably be best to post this once a week at a consistent, high traffic time to drum up interest.

this
>>54714857
This is now a post theory thread
>>54704127
very nice thread, thank you OP.
>>54704127
so much useful info, shame everyone on /g is retarded and all they can do is copy each others fizzbuzz code and jerk each other off.

so anyone doing an anime detection algorithm?
>>54716929
as in from images posted on 4chan
Or a kpop algorithm, is their plastic face recognizable by software?
Is there any open source AI projects out there on Github? Would be cool if the community created an AI
>>54717086
There's one from Microsoft
Where to learn Python OpenCV?
I watched pic related the other day and it just reinforced my belief that the ethical questions surrounding AI are far more interesting that the technical ones.
anyone agree?
>>54717303
forgot pic, fuck me.
>>54717316
there are no ethical questions if we are not able to make a working, human-like AI, wich I think is far away from being done...philosophy student here btw
>>54712269
simulated annealing
Anyone working on a captcha solver browesr extension?
>>54713721
lol this
>>54713748
sounds like you just jump from meme to meme though, so you should probably write a plan for the rest of your life in stone like most legendary people do when they are much younger than you are now. get on the next level.
>>54717303
fuck off
AI is a fucking meme
>>54718672
if you're gonna be so salty, at least tell me why you disapprove.
>paying attention to non-constructive people
>>54719289
what am I looking at in this picture?
>>54717629
yeah, google
>>54717303
>ethical questions surrounding AI are far more interesting that the technical ones
Nah. Kill yourself. Ethics are for stupid people.
>>54718708
Because AI in real life != AI in movies.
reminder that this paper is coming out soon:

And this is what it looks like.

OP you should use this pic for the next general.

what other practical implementations of this is there that I could use today?
The only I know of is this (anime upscaler) http://waifu2x.udp.jp/
