Hey /g/, I got a Dell Studio XPS 8100 and I'm looking to upgrade the video card. The computer's a bit old but the only system requirements it regularly fails is dedicated video ram (It currently has 1GB). What's a good graphics card to upgrade to? I don't have the money to build a whole new PC yet unfortunately.
Ah, that's my desktop PC. Got it around...2011? 2012? I'm not sure exactly. Still runs like a dream for me, but I don't do anything other than light gayman and do nothing else that would require a video card.
I can almost do everything comfortably on integrated graphics alone. Almost.

Right now it has an AMD Radeon 5700. This is probably a really stupid question, but there's no harm in swapping it to this Nvidia card right? Just uninstall all the AMD software?
Wait for polaris. Both Polaris 10, 11 will be perfect setup for low profile computers.

>Dell Studio XPS 8100
Its pretty shit anon your better off just going with your own build you run into alot of issues with prebuilts
That said nothing stopping you from whacking in a 390 or whatever and see if it works

That sounds expensive for OP

Polaris 11 is best option and should be cheap too.
