This is assuming you're using Windows, Usually there is a registry key you can edit or delete to make it think this was a first time install. No idea about how to do it on Linux or OS X. What OS are you using?

I use GNU/Linux Debian, but wine isn't running correctly a software I want and the proprietary shit even expired. It's old as fuck (probably the reason why wine isn't running) so I deleted all registry entries with its name but didn't work out.
