So I leave my laptop on my desk for 15 min then come back to find that its upgrading windows I assume this is an operating system update to windows 10 since normal system updates look nothing like this screen Feel a bit violated I always said no when they asked me if I wanted windows

I recently updated to Windows 10 and I can tell you're bullshitting.
As part of the Win 10 upgrader it prompts you multiple times during it before doing the actual install in order to know if you wanted a clean install or just a face lift.
Install Gentoo and your problems will go away.
